Block Heads 2 - Block 46

Block Heads 2 - Block 46

It's February 27th and it's a "snow day" for the Block Heads. Not a "stay at home" kind of snow day but a Stacy Iest Hsu Snow Day!

You know Stacy as the creative spirit behind more than a dozen adorable collections - thirteen to be specific. She captured our hearts with Lil' Red and Coral, Queen of the Sea. She followed that with a big Howdy and a Walk Through the Woods, and since then, we've been to The North Pole, had Farm Fun and Spring Bunny Fun. Now we're Best Friends Forever!

Stacy's Block 43 made with Home Sweet Home.

If I could have figured out how to work in Home Sweet Home, Woof Woof Meow and Soft & Sweet Flannels, I would have.

Instead I'll just get to On Point Star, Stacy's block for this week.

Moda Michele used the Gratitude collection by Jo Morton to make her Star On Point.

Block 46 - On Point Star.

Now about that Snow Day... the first picture today is of the softie-book from Stacy's latest collection, Snow Day. It will be in quilt shops in June.

There's a snow day scene, funny sweaters - I won't call them ugly! - and winter woolies, snow globes, a smattering of snowflakes and bevy of snow-people. There's more but you can see the pictures.

Kids will love the prints and the colors - kids of every age!

I think a few of these snow globes and snow-people need to be fussy-cut for something!

Wouldn't that sweater-sock print make the best quilt backing?

As for the Snow Day book, it's a soft, washable, "build a snowman" book with plenty of options.

The faces can be easily switched as they have a velcro backing.

There are also several sweater options! Using fusible stabilizers, there are several ways of making the flat pieces for the faces and sweaters.

While I'm not a big fan of cold weather, I really like this kind of Snow Day.
