This quilt finishes at 42" x 52".

INGREDIENTS

5/8 yard Fabric 1 [9900 200]
³/8 yard Fabric 2 [9900 86] (border 1 and sashing squares)
³/8 yardsFabric 3 [9900 34] (sashing)
1½ yard Fabric 4 for border*
48 Charms Squares*
4¾ yards backing
½ yard binding
*Moda Charm Packs have 42 squares. Cut 6 additional 5” squares from border 2 fabric.

INSTRUCTIONS

From Fabric 1, cut:
[A] (192) 2½” squares

From Fabric 2, cut:
(6) 2½” squares
(2) 2½” x 38½” Border 1 side strips
(2) 2½” x 32½” Border 1 top and bottom strips

From Fabric 3, cut:
(17) 2½” x 8½” sashing strips

From Fabric 4, cut:
(4) 5½” x 42½” Border 2 strips

From charm squares, cut:
[B] (48) 2½” x 4½” rectangles

STEP 1. MAKE FLYING GEESE

Draw a diagonal line on the back of 2½” Fabric 2 square {A}. Place square right sides together on the right-hand side a 2½” x 4½”  Fabric 1 rectangle {B}. Sew along the line and trim ¼” away from the seam. Press. Repeat on the left-hand side, creating a flying geese block. Make (48) units measuring 2½” x 4½” unfinished.

STEP 2.  ASSEMBLE BLOCKS

Join flying geese units to create the block as shown. Make 12.

STEP 3. ASSEMBLE QUILT

Join Block A components as shown. Make 20.

ASSEMBLE THE QUILT

Join blocks with sashing to create quilt center. Add inner borders, sides first and then top and bottom. Add outer borders in the same order. Layer, baste, quilt and bind as desired.
