INGREDIENTS
1½ yards Fabric 1 [9900 200]
1½ yards Fabric 2 [9900 145]
⅞ yard Fabric 3 [9900 297]
1⅜ yard Fabric 4 [9900 30]
4 yards backing
½ yard binding
INSTRUCTIONS
From Fabric 1, cut:
[A] (8) 2½” squares
[G] (8) 2½” x 4½” strips
[H] (8) 2½” x 6½” strips
[I] (8) 2½” x 8½” strips
[J] (8) 2½” x 10½” strips
[K] (8) 2½” x 12½” strips
From Fabric 2, cut:
[A] (48) 2½” squares
[B] (8) 2½” x 4½” strips
[C] (8) 2½” x 6½” strips
[D] (8) 2½” x 8½” strips
[E] (8) 2½” x 10½” strips
[F] (8) 2½” x 12½” strips
From Fabric 3, cut:
(5) 3½”x WOF strips; sew together end-to-end. Cut into (2) 3½”x 48½” side borders and (2) 3½”x 54½” top and bottom borders
From Fabric 4, cut:
(6) 5½”x WOF strips; sew together end-to-end. Cut into (2) 3½”x 54½” side borders and (2) 5½”x 64½” top and bottom borders
STEP 1. MAKE A BLOCKS
Draw a diagonal line on the back of EACH of (5) 2½” Fabric 2 squares [A]. Combine with Fabric 1 strips as shown using the Easy Corner Triangles (ECT) method. Align with end of strip, sew on marked line, and trim ¼” away from sewn line. Press. Repeat with each set of Fabric 1 and 2 strips to make units as shown. Make 8 sets.
Add Fabric 2 strips to units created above as shown. Each unit measures 12½” long unfinished once assemble. Join units as shown to create one quadrant of the block. Make 8 quadrants and sew together into 4 A blocks.
STEP 2. MAKE B BLOCKS
Repeat method from Step 1 to make B block units, which are the opposite of A block. Make 8 total B quadrants and join together into 2 completed blocks.
ASSEMBLE THE QUILT
Join blocks with sashing to create quilt center. Add inner borders, sides first and then top and bottom. Add outer borders in the same order. Layer, baste, quilt and bind as desired.
This quilt finishes at 64" square.
