INGREDIENTS
FROM FABRIC A, CUT:
* (4) 4” squares
* (2) 3⅞” squares cut once on the diagonal
FROM FABRIC B, CUT:
* (2) 4” squares
* (2) 3½” squares
FROM FABRIC C, CUT:
* (2) 4” squares
* (2) 3½” squares
FROM FABRIC D, CUT:
* (1) 6⅞” square cut once on the diagonal (you
only use 1 half)
FROM FABRIC E, CUT:
* (1) 6⅞” square cut once on the diagonal (you
only use 1 half)
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1. MAKE HALF SQUARE TRIANGLES
Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of all Fabric A 4” squares. Place 1 square right sides together with Fabric B square. Sew ¼” away from each side of the marked line. Trim apart on line and press. Trim to 3½” square.
Repeat to make 4 Fabric A + B HSTs and 4 Fabric A + C HSTs, you will only use 3 of each.
STEP 2. MAKE 4-PATCHES
Sew 4-patch units from Fabric B and Fabric C HSTs and squares as shown. Press.
STEP 3. MAKE CORNER UNITS
Assemble corner units by attaching Fabric A rectanlges to the sides of HST unit as shown. Press.
Attach print triangle as shown to create a square unit. Unit should measure 6½” square. Repeat with remaining HST and triangle pieces.
ASSEMBLE THE BLOCK
Join block units as shown. Trim block to 12½” unfinished size.
