If you're a fan of Melody, Rashida, Alexia, Kim and Sarah, then I hope you're planning a trip to Austin, Texas and QuiltCon 2020 this week.

Ruby Star Society Designers

If you don't know QuiltCon, it's is the annual modern quilt show-exhibit-event presented by the Modern Quilt Guild.  The four-day conference includes a Featured presentation by an acclaimed quilter - this year, that quilter is Victoria Findlay-Wolfe, workshops and lectures by well-known authors and educators, a large vendor mall and over 500 quilts on display from all over the world.  QuiltCon starts Thursday, February 20 and runs through Sunday, February 23 at the Austin Convention Center.

Who-what is the Modern Quilt Guild?  The guild grew out of a large, vibrant, thriving online community of modern quilters to an organized guild with over 15,000 members in 39 countries on 6 continents.  There are also more than 200 affiliated chapters-guilds.

The Ruby Star Society will be there in Booth 500 - they're facing the quilt exhibit so they'll be easy to find.  And you will want to find them!

Por quoi?  Because this is what's going on...

Meet & Greet.  All five of the Ruby Star Designers will be at QuiltCon.  While they will be in and out of the booth throughout the show, there are two scheduled Meet & Greet get-togethers.  Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and Saturday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.  They'll be there to hang out, chat, take pictures and talk about their fabrics.

Make & Takes.  There will be a big stack of Ruby Star Society scraps and Bernina Sewing Machines so go make a scrunchie or an I'm All Ears Drawstrng bag.  Or make a couple!

The I'm All Ears Drawstring bag pattern is being provided by Rana Heredia of Sewn Into Fabric.

Pretty cute.

Giveaways?  You betcha!  All you have to do is bring something you've made with Ruby Star fabrics to the booth, or bring Ruby Star fabric that you've purchased from a vendor at the show in Austin and you'll receive a Limited Edition Ruby Star Bandanas and/or Patch.  Warning - While Supplies Last. (Thursday or Friday sound best, right?)

Ruby Star Limited Edition Bandana

Ruby Star Society Goods?  Of course.  There will be Ruby Star socks, tote bags and Limited Edition t-shirts for sale in the booth.  (Cash only, please.)

After you've made a scrunchie and a drawstring bag, had your picture taken with the Ruby Star gals, gotten your bandana or patch and bought something for yourself, you can head over to the Moda booth.  It's right around the corner, next door - basically on the other side of the curtain.  Booth 401.

Moda will be there.  And we hope to see you!
