Bee-utiful QAL {Block 14 - Bee Good}
NOTE: This quilt-a-long has wrapped up. If you are looking for the full set of embroidery patterns and quilt assembly instructions, please visit the final post {here}.
Welcome back for block 14! I want to start by thanking y'all for the love for Block 13 - Bee Romantic.It's come to my attention that this is the block that drew many of you into this project, and I am overcome with gratitude for your support. And also, thank you everyone who commented on my wedding photos. It was a truly special day and I'm so glad I could share with all of my wonderful quilty friends!
Now -- onto block 14. This is another fairly simple block. Again, the nice thing about these simpler blocks is that they leave plenty of room for interpretation.
I have a brother-in-law who is a bee keeper, and I called him up to ask him "what the thing you dip into honey jars" was called.
Turns out, there's no technical name for it. It's just called a honey dipper. Who'd have thunk? And we couldn't have a bee-themed quilt without a honey pot.
Thank you tiny bees for your sweet, sweet honey. Download Block 14 {here}. Don't forget to share your bee-utiful blocks on social media. Use the hashtags #beeutifulQAL, #beegood, and #summersewingcamp.
I'll be back tomorrow with block 15. Until then, happy stitching!
