Bee-utiful QAL {Block 17 - Bee Happy}
NOTE: This quilt-a-long has wrapped up. If you are looking for the full set of embroidery patterns and quilt assembly instructions, please visit the final post {here}.
Hello again! Back again for block 17 , Bee Happy. I'm not going to say much about this block, except that there are an abundance of photos! Sunflowers just happen to be my favorite flower in the universe. It probably has something to do with the fact that I spent the majority of my formative years in the '90s, when sunflowers were THE big thing.
Many of you will be happy to know, that I've brought back the threaded backstitch in this block for the stems. If you're unfamiliar with this stitch, it's in my video tutorial seen {here}. I've done my sunflower centers in wool, and I also have a video tutorial for wool appliqué which can be seen {here}.
Well, that's all for now! I can't wait to see your lovely sunflowers. Download the PDF pattern for this block by clicking {here}. When sharing, be sure to use the hashtags #beeutifulQAL, #beehappy, and #summersewingcamp. Until next week, happy stitching!
